In order to qualify for a Master's degree, it is necessary to approve the courses and a Thesis Project, in addition to the execution of the research proposed in the thesis project, the defense of the thesis results and the approval of university institutions.
This program is designed to meet the existing need of health sciences professionals in the area of decision-making and research. The program itself allows to acquire knowledge and skills in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Social Sciences, Economics and Health Management, emphasizing the role of epidemiology as a methodological tool in clinical research and health care. It also promotes a demographic perspective and priorities in health care, including economic considerations and incorporation of social science methodology along with the use of official statistics in the planning and provision of health services.
