Objectives

The fundamental objectives of the Masters Program in Physical Education are:

Respond to an increasing demand of professionals who wish to update and extend their intellectual development through obtaining an academic master's degree.

Contribute quantitatively and quantitatively to the training of professionals with a master's degree. In addition, the goal is to develop project management skills and train level teaching professionals in teaching.

Grant significant support to the development of applied sciences that contribute in a relevant way to the knowledge of human motility and physical adaptation in view of achieving a healthy life.

Graduate profile

The graduate is a professional with well-founded scientific knowledge in the theoretical and practical field, suitable to develop and systematically increase, through innovative pedagogical processes, transfers of current knowledge.

Integrator of the knowledge of the basic and specialty sciences to transmit them to other academic bodies at the primary, secondary and tertiary levels of educational-formative programs.

Recognize the priority problems in matters related to applied research, research projects, human motor, psychomotor, stages of development, education to groups with special educational needs, the physical condition of different ethereal groups, and physiological adaptation to physical activity and fitness assessment.

Description of studies

1º Semester

• Neurobiological bases of physical activity and health and functional adaptations
• Analysis of databases
• Qualitative and quantitative research methodology
• Nutrition and bioenergetics

2º Semester

• Theory and model of the motor development process associated with motor learning
• Assessment of physical activity and health
• Physiological bases for rehabilitation and maintenance of physical condition and health
• Pedagogical bases of physical education in the new educational context

3º Semester

• Evaluation and programs of motor stimulation (Mention of human mobility)
• Prescription of physical activity for special populations. (Mention fitness and healthy life)
• Thesis project
• Elective I and II

4º Semester

• Thesis

Admission requirements

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Professional Degree in the area of Education, Physical Education, Health Care, awarded by a University or Higher Education Institution, National or Foreign, duly accredited.

Description of studies

The Program consists of 48 credits: 37 of Subject studies, 4 of Thesis Project and the Thesis.
